“The EdCon is one of the very few ways to observe the breadth and diversity of our industry and to learn the multitude of ways circus folk are making their programs work. There is no substitute for talking to other people that are actually doing the things you want to do.” – 2016 participant

Official Conference Hotel:

Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory

Rate: 159.00 USD  per night

This hotel is right in the middle of Decatur – walking distance to our event site and surrounded by amazing food, shopping, and cultural sites. The hotel has a large modern lobby that will serve as a focal point of our after hours socializing during the event. We highly recommend that you stay here!

Please contact the hotel by Wednesday August 1st to make a reservation. The deadline is not until Sept 13th – however, we need to get a sense of how many participants plan to stay at the hotel as we are in danger of not making our modest hotel block numbers, which would result in drastic fees for ACE that would be difficult for us to manage. We would be very grateful if you could make your reservations so that we can understand our numbers.

Book by phone: Mention the American Youth Circus room block when making reservations over the phone. Please note the final deadline to book with the group is September 13, 2018Marriott Central Reservations: 1888-236-2427. Courtyard Decatur Front Desk: 404-371-0204.

Pre-Conference Training Offering:

Due to feedback from our AYCO/ACE community, we’ve condensed our Recreational Adaptive Circus Arts Teacher Training to a 4-day training that includes both ground and aerial adaptive instruction. The price has been reduced as well. We hope that these changes will make this training more accessible to even more Circus teachers and directors offering the Circus Arts to the adaptive/special needs population.

The Recreational Adaptive Circus Arts Teacher Training is appropriate for circus teachers (and facilities) who are working with students with special needs, learning differences, and/or developmental delays. This training will ready Circus teachers to understand what it takes to share the Circus World – the benefits, challenges and fun with the Adaptive/special needs community through lecture and hands-on training on ground and aerial equipment.

This is a 4-day teacher training that includes both adaptive aerial and ground instruction.

New Dates: October 1-4, 2018
